1.
Begin by lowering the glove box and
removing the gray pins on either side on the drawer. The LEFT pin
turns to the left (counterclockwise) and the RIGHT pin turns to the
right (clockwise). Each pin will only need to be turned 1/4 turn and
then they can be pulled out. If they are tight, place a rag over
them and use a pair of pliers to gently loosen them.
2.
Now the glove box can be lowered down to expose
the white air filter cartridge located directly behind it.
3.
Pull out the filter cartridge to expose the paper element inside. It
will no doubt be full of dirt and leaf particles.
4.
Remove the paper element from the plastic frame and discard it.
5.
Insert the new filter into the plastic frame and reinsert the unit
back into the slot in the dash where it was removed from. The filter
element can only go in one way so you don't have to worry about
putting it in upside down : )
6. Close the glove box about half way and reinsert
the pins. Remember you only need to turn the pins 1/4 turn to
reinstall them.
