The installation of the GEN 4 or GMX-320 LOCKPICK in the 2008 HUMMER is very similar to other GM vehicles with the exception of how the radio trim panel is configured and removed. The video below has been provided to demonstrate the removal of the radio trim panel of the 2008 HUMMER H2. The rest of the installation is the same as other GM vehicles and is demonstrated on video within the GEN 4 and GMX-320 webpages.

    The GMX-320 has the ability to turn on at will, a factory rear view camera. The camera for the HUMMER is unique and the connections for it are located in the back of the vehicle instead of under the passenger seat as in other GM vehicles. To connect and utilize the GMX-320 rear view camera control feature, the reverse wire on the GMX-320 will need to connect to the harness of the rear view camera. The connection point is just behind the bumper underneath the car. It is relatively simple to locate and detailed pictures have been provided below with step by step instructions. Route the GMX-320 reverse wire along the edge of the trim on the floor carpet and back to the rear of the truck.

  
Locate a suitable location to pass the GMX-320 reverse wire through to the bottom of the vehicle. We have installed a grommet and tubing for the wire to pass through in the hole which was drilled.

      Connect the GMX-320 reverse wire to the BLUE wire on the connector for the rear view camera. The blue wire is located on the outside edge of the  connector for easy identification. Cut the wire and make the connection of the GMX-320 reverse wire to the blue wire going to the camera and not to the wire going to the vehicle harness. Do not reconnect the cut end of the vehicle harness wire. Simply insulate the cut end. The GMX-320 will take care of all of the rear view camera functions. The camera is automatically activated in reverse and can be turned on a viewed at any time using door and steering wheel controls.
